Welcome to PottyRoyale! By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. Please give them a read — we kept them short and human.

2. What PottyRoyale is

PottyRoyale is a humorous entertainment app: you time your toilet visits and compete with your group over who rules the throne the longest. It is meant as a joke between friends, coworkers and classmates — nothing more, nothing less.

• The "earned" counter is fictional: it is a running joke calculated from the hourly wage you enter yourself. No real money is earned, paid out or managed. The app is not a financial product and provides no financial advice.
• School mode is satire. We do not encourage anyone to skip classes, tests or work. Use the app during normal breaks.

3. Your responsibility at work and school

You remain responsible for following your employer's or school's rules. PottyRoyale is not liable for workplace disputes, missed meetings, missed classes, angry bosses or any other consequence of your sitting behaviour. Be sensible and stay professional.

4. Age and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use PottyRoyale. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian for permission.
• Sign up with a real e-mail address and keep your credentials secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• When you sign up you choose a side: work or school. That choice is final and determines how your time is counted and which groups you can join. If you want the other side, you create a new account. One person, one account per side.
• You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete account, or via this page.

5. Groups and game rules

• A group has at most ten members and shares the side of its founder; work and school groups cannot be mixed.
• Anyone with a group's invite code can join it, so share the code only with people you want in your group. When the last member leaves, the group disappears.
• Sittings only count in a group from the moment you join it. Whatever you sat before doesn't count there — everyone starts a new group from zero.
• A sitting lasts at most 45 minutes and only counts after 10 seconds. Sittings that are technically impossible (in the future, or overlapping an earlier sitting) may be rejected or removed.
• If you have no signal when you finish a sitting, the app keeps it on your device and sends it later. If you delete the app or your account in the meantime, such an unsent sitting is lost.

6. Conduct and content

You choose your own display name and group names. The rules:

• No offensive, discriminatory, sexual or otherwise inappropriate names or content.
• No using someone else's name without permission, and no impersonating people or brands.
• No cheating, manipulating, abusing, overloading or attempting to hack the app, and no reverse engineering.

We may edit or remove names and groups, and warn, suspend or block accounts that break these rules. Serious or repeated abuse may lead to permanent termination of an account. Seen an inappropriate name or other abuse? Email us at info@pottyroyale.com with the group code and the name in question; we respond within a few working days.

7. Intellectual property

All rights in PottyRoyale — the app, the name, the brand, the characters, illustrations, designs and copy — belong to us and our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for private purposes. You may not copy, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the app without our written consent.

8. Ads and changes

• The app currently shows no advertisements, but may do so in the future. Third-party ads are subject to those third parties' terms.
• We may change, expand or discontinue the app and its features at any time. We will announce significant changes that affect you via the app or the website.

9. Availability and liability

• We do our best to keep the app running smoothly and securely, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of availability, freedom from errors or delivery of notifications.
• PottyRoyale is a free joke app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damages up to € 100 per event. We are never liable for indirect damages such as lost income, employment consequences or lost data.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law, or our liability for intent or deliberate recklessness.

10. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add new features. The current version is always available on this page. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the new version applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that entitle you to the courts or laws of your own country of residence.
